Syeikh Abu Ubaidah Kemin of Johor, Malaysia is a progressive Islamic scholar, educator, philanthropist, businessman, and who spreads the true message of Islam all over the world in accordance with the present realities of the modern world where capitalism oppresses poor people Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
He strongly encourages Muslims all over the world to engage in business in an Islamic way and by establishing the little-known but powerful BANKWAQF formula in various Muslim communities, alhamdulillah.
He also promotes Waqf Based Economy as a new model of the economy to replace the capitalist economy by Embedding the waqf element into businesses and economic practices, practicing total profits sharing basis finance system, investing in the real economy and
practice waqf investment and reinvestment to enlarge the size of waqf.
